Our Careers Programme

Our CEIAG programme is tailored to meet the needs of our students in Alternative Provision and is built around the Gatsby Benchmarks and the CDI Framework for Careers Development.

It is delivered through:

Life Skills and Careers lessons (Life Skills Years 9–11, Careers in depth Year 11)
Workplace visits, guest speakers, and industry workshops
Support with CVs, applications, interviews, and college enrolments
College and training provider links, including alternative post-16 pathways
Aims of Our Careers Programme

We aim to ensure all our students:

• Know their options post-16 (education, training, and employment)
• Develop confidence, independence, and employability skills
• Are supported in making realistic, informed choices about their future
• Can access appropriate support regardless of barriers they may face

Support for Parents and Carers

We work closely with families to help students make successful transitions into further education, apprenticeships, or work. Parents are welcome to attend careers meetings and reviews, and we provide updates through reports, meetings, and newsletters.

Provider Access Statement

In line with the Baker Clause, we welcome visits from:

• Further Education colleges
• Training providers
• Employers and apprenticeship schemes

We offer opportunities for these organisations to meet with students and speak about technical education pathways.
